Clayton Scott Group Wins UMAC Award
November 2004
You
may or may not know, but my big brother is Toronto's Jim Clayton, one-half
of the Clayton-Scott Group, a successful smooth jazz band. He's also
a musical director for Second City and really can do anything musically.
The other guy in Clayton-Scott group is Andy Scott, who
was once in well-loved Toronto jazz band One Step Beyond.
Well guess what? These two were recently nominated for,
and won, a CUMA award from UMAC, the
Urban Music Association of Canada: Jazz Recording of the Year, for their
song On The Money, from the record So Nice.
How cool is that? Very proud over here. Well done, smoothboys.
